Who we are
FREEINDEED ANONYMOUS (FIDA) is a nonprofit fellowship of people in recovery from different kinds of enslavement, addictions, and destructive patterns. What these addictions have in common is a life lived in a state of separation from God, in sin. Through the grace of God and with the help of the 12 steps of FIDA we are growing in the joy of freedom from our addictive, sinful nature. Working the 12 Steps enables us to be a faithful person of truth and to have a choice.
Our life stories, healing and restoration testimonies, how God has worked miracles in our lives, confirm the power of God’s experienced truth in our lives in multiple ways.
It does not matter where you come from, nor does it matter how deep you may have fallen into addiction or other destructive behaviors. Whether you have faced the challenges of incarceration, spent time in a psychiatric ward, or battled long-standing issues, you are not alone. Our community is a safe space for individuals from all walks of life. We understand that everyone’s journey is unique, and we honor the diverse experiences that each person brings. We believe that healing and recovery are possible for anyone willing to take the first Step.
The only requirement to come to our meetings is a sincere desire to be free from the addictions and behaviors that so easily enslave us. You don’t have to believe in God like we experience God in our personal relationship with HIM today. Just be where you are right now and be honest with yourself in the first place. It’s perfectly sufficient if you consider it possible that our experience, strength, and hope on the path to freedom could also be helpful for you. HERE is a list of possible addictions, destructive behaviors, and sins with which you might identify with. We encourage you to be open to a Higher Power, and the 12 Steps of our recovery. Then you too may receive the freedom we already enjoy when we share our experience, strength, and hope in recovery.
We find strength in one another as we support each other in our quests for healing and restoration.
If you are seeking a place of acceptance, understanding, and hope, we invite you to join us at FreeInDeed Anonymous. Together, we can walk the path of recovery, guided by faith and the promise of a new beginning.
FreeInDeed Anonymous does not claim to replace the meetings of AA (Alcoholics Anonymous), NA (Narcotics Anonymous), or other 12-Step recovery groups. On the contrary, we strongly recommend continuing to attend meetings of AA, NA, or other 12-Step groups. It would be presumptuous to call into question—even in the slightest—the treasure of recovery, wisdom, hope, and strength found therein.
Rather, through FreeInDeed Anonymous, we desire to grow deeper and more intimately in the presence of God and in HIS liberating truth.
With each passing day, we seek to grow further in His grace, allowing it to shape our hearts and transform our lives. Our greatest longing is to continually draw from the true Source of Life—the One who offers us real Life, genuine Freedom, lasting Light, Love, Acceptance, Grace, Forgiveness, Mercy, and the fullness of Shalom. In doing so, we hope to move beyond surface-level faith and experience the real depth, richness, and freedom that only the living God, as far we understand HIM, can provide.
